Presented by the UofR Smash Club, it’s that time of the month again, time for Flatty on November 25th!
Featuring Tournaments for Smash Ultimate, Melee, and more!
As usual, The Queen City Fighters will be running brackets as well for various fighting games!
We are re-introducing a Club Fee! The Club Fee is paid upon registration and amounts to $5. The Club Fee is there to support the Club in providing funding for things that can better the tournament experience (ex. More setups, prizes for Fun Brackets, larger venues, etc). If you bring a FULL setup this Fee is waived.
Full setups meaning:
CRT + Optional homebrewed Wii for Melee (CRTs are the most important, the Club has 3 Wiis already, but bringing your own is very welcomed)
Nintendo Switch with Smash Ultimate and all the DLC + a monitor (You can coordinate with another attendee and each bring 1 half of a full setup, both of you will have your Club Fee waived)
PS5 or PC with the Fighting game you wish to play + a monitor (You can coordinate with another attendee and each bring 1 half of a full setup, both of you will have your Club Fee waived)

How it Works:
Come for the gaming events you want to participate in, pay any costs listed below and you’re good to go! If you can bring your own controller that helps a lot, but if you can’t make sure to message us ahead of time so we have extra reserved for you. Then when your event starts you’ll be put into a double elimination pool where if you win all your games, you’ll go into another double elimination bracket to compete for the win, but if you don’t, you can still stick around for a second shot at glory in the amateur bracket with everyone else who didn’t make it out! (amateur brackets are only for the smash singles events)
COVID-19 Protocol:
As of now, the university currently does not require wearing masks on campus. Using masks is now encouraged, but no longer mandatory. Please stay home if you are not feeling well!
